{"id":5480,"date":"2011-01-13T23:19:03","date_gmt":"2011-01-14T04:19:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.videoproductiontips.com\/?p=5480"},"modified":"2023-10-05T17:34:22","modified_gmt":"2023-10-05T22:34:22","slug":"youtube-adds-easy-search-video-creator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.videoproductiontips.com\/youtube-adds-easy-search-video-creator\/","title":{"rendered":"YouTube Adds Easy &#8220;Search Video&#8221; Creator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Remember that awesome Super Bowl ad video where they used nothing but screen capture video of an evolving Google search to tell a story?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em><strong>That technique turned out to be so popular, YouTube added something they are calling Search On, which is an incredibly easy-to-use video creation feature that pulls together\u00a0 screenshots and edits them together with a selection of music.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s an example of a popular YouTube video using this function.\u00a0 This video does an incredible job of storytelling.\u00a0 Make sure to listen for the siund effect at the very end that tells you how the story ended.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nnsSUqgkDwU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This<strong> Search On video<\/strong> about Niche Celeb, the online video program I am currently promoting created by the McFadden Brothers and their dad, actor Thom McFadden.\u00a0 With the use of the dramatic music, I think it makes a fairly watchable and effective video ad for the program.<\/p>\n<p>Simple screen cast videos like this can be extremely effective.\u00a0 Now, with YouTube&#8217;s new Search On Video Creator function, any short search video is super easy to create.\u00a0 You don&#8217;t need any software, just a YouTube account.\u00a0 Here are the simple steps you take to create a video like this yourself.<\/p>\n<h3>To use the Search On YouTube video creator, click <a title=\"youtube search on\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/searchon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/h3>\n<p>Once you get to that page, click where it says &#8220;create your own&#8221; and you&#8217;ll be taken to a page where you can enter in whatever keywords you want.\u00a0 Then you can indicate whether you want your screen capture image to be of a general web search, an image search, maps, blogs, or whatever.\u00a0 This helps give your video some visual variety.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll get a preview of your screenshot, so you can see if it says what you need it to say.\u00a0 If not, just change your keywords or the type of search.<\/p>\n<p>When you&#8217;ve entered in all the search terms you want, click next and some music selections will pop up.\u00a0 You can listen and then make a selection.<\/p>\n<p>Click next and your video will be rendered.\u00a0 If you like it, YouTube has made it easy to share on Twitter or Facebook and a handful of other places. \u00a0 You can also grab the embed code or link code.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The whole process takes about two minutes and costs you nothing.<\/strong>\u00a0 Considering that, the result is pretty incredible if you ask me!<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for reading Video Production Tips<\/p>\n<p>Lorraine Grula<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is an incredibly easy way to make a short &#8220;Search Story&#8221; videos using screen shots taken from the web.
